Sometimes it’s a gift to go into something with no expectations.
I say this because I had never been on a yoga retreat before, and after two months of traveling, it was simply the next stop on my journey. I was looking forward to it, of course — I imagined we’d do some yoga, learn about postures, maybe enjoy a few fun activities together.
We did all of those things… but it was SO MUCH MORE.
I still don’t have the perfect words to describe the transformations and insights that unfolded over that week. What I can tell you is that it was everything I didn’t know I needed. It was healing. It was grounding. It brought me back to ME.
Layer by layer, I began to shed the quiet protections we build over time — the ones that keep us safe but also keep us from seeing ourselves clearly. And for the first time in a long time, I truly saw myself again. That clarity, that sense of return, gave me the trust and peace I needed — trust in what is, and in the path I’m walking.
A deep and heartfelt thank you to Nikki and Kate, our incredible guides, for sharing your gifts so generously and for holding such beautiful space for all the wild women in the room. Your presence, compassion, and wisdom made this experience what it was.
That’s why I already know I’ll be returning to this retreat next year — to continue the journey, to reconnect, and to deepen the beautiful work that began here.
